54 Queen’s Gate, Kensington, London Hotel Kitchen Refurbishment

54 Queen’s Gate is a boutique style hotel based in a Grade II Edwardian townhouse in South Kensington.  As part of a major refurb of the hotel, Caterplan installed a small but functional commercial kitchen in the basement. 

Space was at a premium and yet the kitchen had to include all the necessary equipment required for a hotel operation. As well as the usual bespoke fabricated prep and wash up area, the cooking equipment whilst being shoe horned into a small area, still had to be capable of producing cuisine fitting of a boutique hotel. 

For this, we specified a small SCC XS Rational combination oven, Merrychef high speed combination oven and Induction hobs. It is truly amazing what can be fitted into a small commercial kitchen space with careful design consideration.
