Shooting Stars Childrens Hospice, Kitchen Design

Shooting Stars asked Caterplan to redesign and refit their dated catering facility including kitchen and canteen servery. Originally, we had designed an extended kitchen space utilising a proposed extension.

However, due to planning issues the extension didn’t obtain approval and another solution was required. Plan ‘B’ comprised of utilising an adjacent room which was seldom used, and turning this into a new store room with walk-in refrigeration and storage solutions to compliment the new kitchen.

The refurbishment project entailed providing a temporary kitchen facility and works spanning a two month period, including obtaining building regulations approvals, all fully project managed and implemented by Caterplan as a turnkey solution.

The project was handed over slightly ahead of programme and on budget!
