Society of the Sacred Cross Convent in Monmouth – Monastery Kitchen Design

Caterplan designed, supplied & installed a new commercial kitchen at Tymawr Convent in Monmouth as part of a major overhaul & refurbishment of the kitchen area.  The Society of the Sacred Cross is part of the Anglican Church in Wales where the members of the small community live a monastic life of prayer based on solitude, silence and live together under vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. 

After initially installing the new Ventilation system, Caterplan returned to site and installed a walk in freezer room before fitting out the new commercial kitchen with bespoke stainless steel wall & floor cupboards, work benches, shelves and sink units.  The new commercial catering equipment included Foster refrigeration, Lincat & Rational cooking equipment and a Maidaid pass-through dishwasher.
